It boasts a population of nearly 30,000 residents, and the township has a strategic location that is only one hour away from New York City, the Jersey Shore and Philadelphia. Someone who wants to find a nice place to get away from it all on the weekends finds that this area offers beauty, picturesque scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the township’s popular sites includes the Cranbury History Center, located on Main Street in the downtown area. The center has information about embarking on self-guided walking tours of East Windsor NJ. The center is open every Tuesday for three hours, and tourists can purchase gifts in the gift shop. Rowland Park is a huge park that has a multi-purpose stadium, five baseball fields and a softball field. The park also has a huge playground for children.
